January prayer letter
VIRUS NUMBERS ARE INCREASING
The year 2020 came and went in the blink of an eye. Even though we were in lockdown for most of the year God still blessed in a great and mighty way. New people came to the church and heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. With all of the restrictions in place we were still able to continue discipleship. People who have never heard the Gospel and never came to our church had the opportunity to hear the Word of God preached through Facebook live services. God blessed. But as the year came to an end, cases began to increase again and restrictions continued on. As I write this letter to you, we are once again under lockdown. The numbers for new cases have been increasing and two days ago the country of Colombia hit a new record high of more than eighteen thousand new cases in a single day. We had to go back to virtual services once again and hope for this to end soon. Thank you very much for your prayers in this situation. Even though it all seems to be out of control, we know our God still reigns and his mighty hand will continue to do wondrous things this year.
CHURCH IS GROWING
I would like to take this time to ask you to please pray for a very important project that our mission board is working on at the moment: the Baptist Center for World Evangelism (BCWE). It is the future home of Vision Baptist Missions and the Our Generation Training Center. As you all very well know, both my wife and I were trained to be church planting missionaries at the Training Center. Since then God has continued to bless year after year. The number of students that continue to be trained has increased and space is becoming very limited. Would you please help us pray for this very important project? The need is great all around the world and we need to do everything we can now to send more people trained to plant churches all throughout so that His message will be heard among the nations.
